outside of it. We want to help you ELEVATE YOUR EVERY DAY. From competing in triathlons, to playing golf, mountain biking, pickleball or chasing around your grandkids in the backyard, we'll help you get there.
Every Manic workout focuses on the key components of fitness – strength, endurance, mobility and balance. Manic workouts incorporate functional movements across all planes of motion with weights and exercises appropriate to your individual ability. Pairing weightlifting, bodyweight exercises and cardio together in high intensity intervals, your heart rate is quickly accelerated and calories are burned fast.
Life is all about balance. Let us help you find that balance by offering you three hours a week just for YOU. Dedicating just 3 hours/week to training at Manic, you'll get results that will dramatically improve the quality of the other 165.
At Manic, you'll find a supportive community of individuals who inspire and motivate one another to achieve their fitness and life goals. About Manic Training
Located at our EG facility, we provide personalized individual and small group training tailored to address your unique requirements and aspirations. This option is particularly beneficial for newcomers to exercise, individuals recuperating from injuries, or those preparing for specific goals or events. Collaborate with our experienced trainers to establish a customized plan that aligns with your objectives, ensuring you're on the optimal path towards achieving your goals.
Our group HIIT classes are the heart of Manic Training and are offered throughout the day in Wakefield and East Greenwich. We think of them as "personal training in a group setting" since they can be modified and adapted for anyone. Workouts are carefully crafted to target strength, cardio, endurance and mobility with an emphasis on core strenth, and they are always evolving, so boredom is never an issue, and an hour goes by in a flash. “Lite” classes run 45 minutes for those looking for a shorter but incredibly effective workout.
Relax and unwind in our Wakefield location while treating your body in our infrared sauna, scientifically proven to be beneficial to help muscles recover from exercise and stress.
Improve your swing, play a wide selection of courses or just have fun on the range at our newly available golf simulators in East Greenwich.

“I joined Manic when I saw the ad for a 21-day challenge on FB and decided to join despite feeling very nervous about my ability to participate in this level of exercise. While I did not consider myself to be overweight, I was hoping to shed about 10 pounds and, more importantly, to gain strength, especially in my core. I have been doing Manic Training since the day it opened in 2012. It has become part of the fabric of my life. I religiously attend the 6am class M,W, F and it is the best part of my day. The workouts are as challenging as you want them to be which allows people at all levels and abilities to workout at the same time. The programming is tremendous and you don't know what the workout is until you arrive at class which adds to the excitement. The best part of Manic Training is the community of like minded people sharing a common goal and having fun while getting the best workout of your life!
I cant speak highly enough about Manic. I am not a "gym" person and tried other things that focuses too much on picking up excessively heavy things. Manic weaves in all sorts of workouts and training's in a way that beginners and people who have done it for years can seamlessly workout together. The instructor's are knowledgeable and patient. Personally I have seen an astonishing transformation in my body and energy going 3 to 4 x per week. John, the owner, is there often leading the classes. Great guy!
Growing up playing a variety of sports, Eli has been working out at Manic since he was a kid, and has always known he wanted to join the family business. He created and ran a Manic TEEN program when he was 17, and now teaches classes full time. Eli is known for his friendly, supportive approach and is sure to make you feel welcome. Eli is also an assistant coach for the SKHS mens soccer team, and still loves playing sports!
John has had a passion for fitness since his years at URI as a track athlete. He has a degree in Physical Health and Wellness and is deeply committed to helping people live their healthiest lives. John loves snowboarding, golf, frisbee golf and mountain biking, and understands how important exercise is in helping us stay active at all ages.
Rob brings a ton of energy and experience to our East Greenwich location. Host of the Podcast Shut Up and Grind, Rob is an avid obsticle race cmpetetor and is known for his fun and enthusiastic coaching style. He embodies his motto "No excuses, just results." Rob is also the track coach for Narragansett High School.

Not at all. Our classes work for people with all different levels of experience, and every workout is adjustable to your unique fitness level and skill set.
Absolutely not! There are many long-term options as well as monthly and even weekly memberships.
We got you. We understand getting started is the hardest part. We’ll take it one step at a time. First step is coming in for your first class, where you'll get to know the trainer and get a feel for the environment. We're a no mirrors, no judgement zone and despite the name (we hear it can sound intimidating), we don't do the drill sergeant approach - our trainers and members are kind, friendly, encouraging and accepting. When you're at Manic you aren't comparing yourself to anyone else - You don’t need to match the strength of the person next to you; our aim is for you to attain the level of fitness, strength, and health that aligns with YOUR goals, enabling you to do the things YOU want to do.
